The “Hot Topics” meetings are held in alternate years when the main EPA-UNEPSA scientific meeting, EUROPAEDIATRICS, is not taking place." The EPA-UNEPSA International Council has chosen NUTRITION and RARE DISEASES as the main topics for the Hot Topics series starting in 2023. The structure of the meeting, which focuses the audience's attention on selected topics, and its innovative format, which includes evidence-based data (EBD) versus real-world evidence (RWE), debates on the pros and cons, and hands-on "hands on" courses, will encourage the presence of a large number of participants from all over Europe and the Balkans, with the number of participants in subsequent meeting in the series further growing. The need for an interactive scientific program on trending and pressing topics, open to debate with other disciplines or within the pediatric discipline itself, has prompted EPA-UNEPSA to plan and implement the Hot Topics meetings each year. The meetings will offer sessions on very selectively chosen topics, which will be discussed by high-profile experts. To facilitate fruitful interaction and a productive learning atmosphere between participants and speakers and among participants themselves, the 3-day Hot Topics program will be held in a single meeting room during the 3-day meeting and will not be divided into parallel sessions. Finally, the limited number of high-level speakers, 8-10 per session, will further contribute to realize a perfect master classes atmosphere.
